Multi Commander does not change any settings in Windows and does not hook itself into anything inside Windows.

Portable Version

The Portable version the exact same binaries as the installed version, but it is preconfigured to store all configuration and settings in the same folder it is run from. Just unpack the portable version (keep the folder structure) and run MultiCommander.exe.

If you already have Multi Commander installed, you can create a portable version by selecting "Install Multi Commander to USB Device" in the help menu.

Because the portable version is a normal zip archive, you cannot know if anyone else has changed and modified the files inside. So Only download the portable version from this site.

Multi Commander SE (Store Edition)

Multi Commander SE is a special version of Multi Commander that can be download from the Microsoft Store. The store edition is 99% the same. However application from the Store are not allwed to modify the Windows System folder. So the store edition of MultiCommander will not be able to delete or overwrite files in Windows system folder (C:\Windows).

XP Edition

The normal version does not work on Windows XP anymore. If you need a version that works on Windows XP, download the Multi Commander XP.
